COLUMBUS, GA - Flournoy Development Group (FDG) has begun construction on a luxury mixed-use apartment community on a 10.67-acre site near Patewood Medical Campus in Greenville, SC. District Midtown will provide a vibrant, walkable living experience to a growing Greenville. The 337-unit community will consist of eight 4-story buildings and offer a blend of one, two and three-bedroom units including 20 two-story townhomes and 16 flex workspaces.
The site has convenient interstate access to downtown Greenville and large employers in the metro Greenville area, including Michelin’s North America HQ, BMW and GE Energy. The I-385/I-85 interchange is two miles east of the site and is home to many desirable national retailers including Publix, Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, Fresh Market, Cabela’s, and more.
The Class “A” community will offer a resort style saltwater pool, fully equipped fitness center with yoga and meditation studio, bike storage, outdoor grilling areas, communal co-working space, and multiple greenspaces to include a hammock garden and outdoor exercise park. Apartment homes will feature stainless steel appliance packages, gourmet kitchens, wood-grain flooring, 9 and 10-foot ceilings, deep kitchen sinks, and in-home washers and dryers.
“We are extremely excited to be breaking ground on District Midtown.” said Ryan Foster, Senior Vice President for Flournoy Development Group. “We are very familiar with the Greenville market having developed and sold three previous communities in the market in recent years - including the sale of District West in 2019.”
District Midtown will be walkable to dining, nightlife and entertainment venues including one of the longstanding successful malls in the southeast. Haywood Mall features 130 shops including notable tenants, Apple and Williams-Sonoma, and anchor stores Belk, Dillard’s, Macy’s, and JCPenney.
Construction is underway and expects to welcome residents in the summer of 2022. The District Midtown project team includes architect Dynamik Design and contractor Flournoy Construction Group.
