Weidner Apartment Homes Enters Garland Rental Market with Acquisition of 594-Unit Parkside at Firewheel Apartment Community

GARLAND, TX - Weidner Apartment Homes, a real estate investment and property management company, purchased the community Parkside at Firewheel Apartments in Garland, TX, from the previous ownership and management company, Waterton. Weidner is recognized industry-wide as an efficient provider of quality rental homes and a creative developer of new housing. This acquisition marks Weidner’s first property in Garland, seventh community in the Dallas/Fort Worth metro, and 32nd property in Texas.

Parkside at Firewheel Apartments is a two-phase, 594-unit property built in 2007 and 2013. The community comprises seven three and four-story buildings and sits on 8.94 acres with 772 parking spots of surface, garage, and attached townhome spaces. Parkside at Firewheel offers 27 floor plans of studio, one, two, and three-bedroom apartment homes and townhomes ranging in sizes between 497 to 2,710 square feet, for an average unit size of 921 square feet.

Parkside at Firewheel Apartments is located at 305 River Fern Ave Garland, TX 75040, less than 30 minutes from downtown Dallas. The community is the only multifamily housing property within Garland’s premier shopping, dining, and entertainment village, the Firewheel Town Center. The center offers the likes of Macy’s, Barnes and Noble, AMC Theaters, and a barrage of other local restaurants.
