Ground Breaking: West Covina Senior Villas II

Los Angeles, California – March 10, 2011 – Developer West Covina Senior Villas II, LP has broken ground on a 65-unit affordable senior apartment project in West Covina, California. The $7.7 Million project is being built in response to the City's need for more affordable housing facilities.

The project site was previously reserved for a condominium complex. Due to the collapse of the housing market, the West Covina Community Development Commission and developer West Covina Senior Villas II, LP worked together to convert the land use in order to better serve the community and its residents.

Berman and Brent, AIA is the architect for the project. American General Corporation is the general contractor. This is the second project in West Covina constructed by American General Corporation. American General Corporation previously constructed West Covina Senior Villas I, an affordable senior housing project adjacent to this new construction, in 2004.

American General Corporation has completed six projects in Southern California for the developer of this project in the last 10 years. American General Corporation offers project management, construction, and design-build specializing in multi-family residential, hospitality, and mixed income properties. American General Corporation has successfully completed over 6,000 units in Southern California since 1994.
