Atlanta, GA, March 10, 2009- Leading key control software and service provider, HandyTrac Systems, LLC has partnered with Schlage in developing a new key management software that works with Schlage's Programmable Electronic Deadbolts and Access Control Management System. This new software provides advanced key control security system capability that boasts new innovation and advanced technology for unprecedented convenience and efficiency.

HandyTrac built upon Schlage's established programmable electronic key management system, which uses iButton technology instead of a traditional key. To lock or unlock doors, residents simply touch their iButtons to the sensor on the face of the lock. Each of the electronic programmable deadbolts can accommodate up to 500 different users, eliminating the need to replace deadbolts with residential moves. Engineered with all metal construction and solid brass escutcheons, Schlage's Programmable Electronic Deadbolts are an ANSI/BHMA, grade 2, first-rate security product, with low susceptibility to kick-in, drilling and wrench attacks.
Specifically, HandyTrac partnered with Schlage in creating VAM (Vendor Access Management) as a build-on software program that enables Schlage's quality, programmable electronic deadbolts (SPEDs) to operate optimally with client data. VAM protects property owners against premise liability claims by enabling complete visibility (audit trails) to doors accessed by residents, vendors, and employees. In addition, HandyTrac stores all entry-related data in a remote facility with military grade security (with triple redundancy protections). This system additionally works with HandyTrac's patented online key management system, which allows managers to generate reports and create graphs online by site, region or on a national level. The convenience of the online management system supports effective mitigation of premise liability risks, plus allows for tracking of staff productivity in preventative maintenance and other regular site functions.
HandyTrac client services consist of: set up/installation, including populating the key management software (building the databases) with credentials for the specific property and programming the iButtoms, training staff on the key management system, and on-going technical support, reports and data storage.
